About us.
Vision: To see a community working together to eliminate suicidal events among first responders and military and seeing the growth of housing opportunities for individuals of the special needs community.
Mission: To unify ALL people by connecting as one cohesive body that loves God, utilizes His word, and shares Godly gifts by meeting the needs of those who serve us tirelessly, those who struggle to serve themselves in their daily lives, and providing a world impact by clothing the clothless while spreading the good news of hope and inspiration via The Body eMag publication.
Who Are We? The CGS Foundation is a faith-based, non-profit entity created by Constance Gelitha Stubbs (aka Nana) in March, 2020. Constance was born in Miami, Florida the oldest of 14 children and mother of 6 children. As the eldest sibling and mother of 6 she spent the majority of her time as a caregiver. She later also became a foster parent and worked in childcare as an assistant to the director of the facility. In january 2020, Constance received news of her demise and wanted to leave a legacy of servitude meeting the needs of underserved populations in the community. Healthy soles, Thrive housing, The Body eMag, and Warrior Retreats were born through a conversation during the 2020 lock-down with daughter, Kimlee Jones, Environmental Biologist, Military Veteran and local business owner. Together, in her honor, CGS Foundation was born. She wanted to provide outreach opportunities via several initiatives: The Body eMag-Christian Magazine; Healthy Soles; Thrive Housing; and Warrior Retreats.
